"Angel Tree" Program Invites Families In Need To Apply For Christmas Assistance

The Salvation Army will be providing Christmas Assistance through the Angel Tree Program for families that need help providing Christmas presents for their chidren.  

Applications will be taken from Sept. 29 through Oct. 2, and Oct. 12-16, from 9 a.m-6 p.m. at 5001 Covington St.  

The Salvation Army is also looking for volunteers to give of their time.  "Start a holiday tradition with your family, office group or Sunday school class. You can "Ring a Bell," help in our Angel Tree Warehouse, or serve a holiday meal.
 What better gift to give this season than that of your time. Please volunteer today," officials said.
