Georgia Northwestern Golf Team Leads Reinhardt Invitational

The Georgia Northwestern men’s golf team shot a 294 on Monday and will take a three-shot lead into the final round of the Reinhardt University Invitational on Tuesday at Callahan Golf Links in Waleska, Georgia.

Sophomores Jordan Estes fired a 70 and Chase Cole carded a 71 in the rainy conditions and the duo sits 1-2 atop the individual leaderboard.

Sophomore Grant Allen is tied for 17th after a 76 and Freshman Tucker Venable is tied for 21st after shooting a 77. Sophomore Lanier Guest shot an 81 and is tied for 36th, although his score did not count in the team standings.

The Bobcats lead by three shots over the host Eagles, who finished with day with a 297. SCAD-Atlanta (301) is third, followed in the top five by Bryan College (305) and Truett-McConnell College (312).

The rest of the field includes Brewton-Parker College (313), Bluefield College (321), Montreat College (322), Georgia Military College (331), Hiwassee College (336) and Oxford-Emory College (337).

Georgia Northwestern will tee off last on Tuesday, starting at 9:40 a.m.
