Alan Jones, 59, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his home.  

Alan was nearly a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, where he graduated from Chattanooga (City) High School in 1974, and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1978.

Alan loved his family, friends, fraternities, football, and his dog. Alan was a brother of Sigma Chi Fraternity, Brainerd Masonic Lodge #736, and the Alhambra Shrine.  Additionally, Alan served as president of the Paul Jones Company for over 30 years.  

His family will remember him for his eternal optimism, love, and wry sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pauland& Juanita Jones. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Susan Jones; children Adam (Andrea) Jones, and Kevin Jones.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 13, from 3-5 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home at 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, Tn. 37343.

A memorial service will follow on Saturday at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations /adoptions may be made to the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga.
