Rivermont Principal Suspended Due To Probe Over Handling Of School Funds

The principal of Rivermont Elementary School, Cheri Grant-Guerdon, has been suspended due to a probe over the handling of school funds.

Officials said the case was handed over to the state Comptroller's Office.

She last was principal at Woodmore Elementary School.

The new Rivermont principal will be Nikki Bailey, who previously was assistant principal at East Lake Elementary.

Ms. Bailey began teaching at Lookout Valley Elementary in 2006.
