Ruth Moon, 92, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, died on Saturday, July 23, 2016.

Ruth was born on Aug. 24, 1923, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Medea DeFriese.  

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lola Robinson and brother, Leonard DeFriese, who will be there to greet her in heaven.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 75 years, Wallace Moon, her daughter, Brenda Moon, and her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Debbie Moon. Ruth devoted her life to serving others, especially her children and grandchildren. Ruth has four grandchildren, Blake Moon, Valerie Moon Wheatcroft, Stacy Roberson, Chad Condra; three great grandchildren, Katherine Roberson Barfield, Joel Roberson, Ashley Condra Stonebreaker and one great-great granddaughter, Ella Stonebreaker.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at the viewing which will be held from 9–11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

The service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Valley View Chapel with Reverend Ronnie Dotson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
