Mattie B. Cooper, was 92 years old when she departed this life on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 in Chattanooga.  

She was the daughter of the late Rev. Amos and Sarah Finley, Sr., and was preceded in death by her husband, Early Lee Cooper, Sr., daughters Earnestine Turner and Virginia Johnson, brothers William, James, David, Clarence, Claude, and Amos Jr., Finley.  

She is survived by her sons, Dennis Finely, Edward (Elizabeth), Early Jr., and daughter Betty Mosley, a sister Rebecca (Rev Grant) Harris, Jr., a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Public viewing will begin at noon will be on Thursday, Oct. 5, and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. at John P Franklin Funeral Home on Dodd’s Ave.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, Oct. 6, at Second Missionary Baptist Church on East 3rd Street with Pastor Ernest Reid officiating.
