Lutena “Tena” Annette Lewis, 73, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 in a Stockbridge, Georgia hospital.  

She attended the Chattanooga Public School System and later was employed by the school system as School Patrol Mother and bus driver. Lutena accepted Christ early in life and was a faithful member of the Olivet Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Robert Richards. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn Sprayberry-Hendrix and Otis Smith; grandmother, Nannie Sprayberry-Hines; granddaughter, Karnisha Hamilton; sister, Murlean Smith; and daughter, Cassandra Glover. 

She is survived by her son, Willie James Mayweather, Sr.; daughter, Benita Glover; grandson, Willie James Mayweather, Jr.; granddaughter, Victoria Glover; great-grandson, Jamieon Mayweather; devoted sister, Ardella Smith; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. 

Visitation is on Wednesday, March 1, from 7-9 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 2, at 1 p.m. at Olivet Baptist Church with Elder Sandra Bramlett as the eulogist.  Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
