4 Four Dalton State Women's Golfers Announced As All-Conference

The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2017 SSAC Women's Golf All-Conference and All-Freshman Teams Monday evening at the 2017 SSAC Women's Golf Awards Banquet.

The Team Sportsmanship Award, Musco Lighting Champions of Character Team and All-Academic Team were also announced.

All-Conference Breakdown

·        William Carey (Miss.) and Dalton State (Ga.) lead the way with four honorees each

·        On the 16-player team, there are five freshmen, four sophomores, three juniors and four seniors

·        Golfstat stroke average rank: No. 3 Kennedy Windlan (75.39), No. 7 Aleesha Smith (75.89), No. 17 Hannah Sager (76.73), No. 18 Anna Reid (76.87) and No. 19 Tia Teiniketo (76.89)

All-Freshman Breakdown

·        All five members rank in the top-72 in the NAIA Golfstat head-to-head rankings, with Tia Teiniketo (19), Isabel Rijos (27) and Aleesha Smith (36) leading the way

·        All five also made the All-Conference Team

·        Anna Reid, Tia Teniketo, Aleesha Smith and Niquole Mangal all earned SSAC Women's Golfer of the Week honors this year
