UTC Football Hosts Summer Camps

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team hosts a number of camps over the summer.  The Mocs team up with coaches from the University of Tennessee for a high school skills camp on Saturday, June 3, at Finley Stadium.  

There are also two other high school skills days, youth camp, quarterback academy, 7-on-7 tournament and a Big Man challenge on the summer schedule.

The Mocs and Vols high school skills camp takes place on UTC's home field with registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. (E.D.T.).  The camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to Noon and is an opportunity to develop individual skills and techniques for offensive and defensive players at their specific positions. Individual instruction is provided by the UTC and University of Tennessee coaching staffs and other guest instructors.

There are similar camps at Finley Stadium during the following week on June 7 and June 8.  These are conducted by the Mocs' staff and guest instructors and run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 

The Youth Camp is Friday, June 9, from 6:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. at Finley Stadium.  It is open to all rising fourth-to-eighth graders.  Admission for all three of the high school skills dates and the youth camp is $40 per person.    

The Quarterback Academy is set for Saturday, June 10, at Finley Stadium.  Cost is $150 per camper and open to all rising ninth-to-12th graders.  The camp is an opportunity to develop individual skills and techniques for quarterbacks.

The QB Academy includes film study as well as on-the-field instruction from Head Coach Tom Arth, a former NFL quarterback with Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers, offensive coordinator Justin Rascati, a National Champion quarterback at James Madison, and receivers coach Ryan Aplin, two-time Sun Belt Player of the Year at quarterback for Arkansas State.

Saturday, June 15, is the 7-on-7 tournament and the Big Man Challenge at Finley Stadium.  The 7-on-7 Tournament is $250 per team and open to all high schools.  Teams have multiple opportunities to compete against other programs in a competitive and safe setting. There is an elimination tournament to determine a camp champion. The camp takes place a both Finley Stadium and Scrappy Moore Practice Facility. Instruction will be provided by the Mocs coaching staff.

The Big Man Challenge is $40 per camper and open to all rising ninth-to-12th graders.  Campers can develop individual skills and techniques for offensive and defensive linemen at their specific positions. The will be a number of strength and skill competitions held at Scrappy Moore Field.
