Joseph Eric Reidy, known to all as "Eric," passed away on July 14, 2025, in Georgetown, Texas, at the age of 33.

Born on Aug. 1, 1991, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Eric was a beloved son, father, brother, and soldier whose life was marked by dedication, love, and service.

Eric proudly served his country as a sergeant in the United States Army, with deployments that included service in Iraq and time stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. His courage, discipline, and devotion to his fellow soldiers were a testament to the strength of his character.

He is survived by his son, Jackson Reidy, who was the light of his life; his parents, Sharon and Jeff Reidy; his sister, Britney DeCamp; and his grandmother, Barbara Reidy. Eric was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas Reidy, and his grandparents "Skip" A. Joseph Reidy, Bobby Dayton, and Barbara Dayton.

Eric will be remembered not only for his service but for his loyalty, warmth, and the deep love he held for his family. His presence will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.

A service to honor Eric's life will be held on Aug. 1, at 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery, at 1200 Bailey Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37404.
