David "Andy" Andrew Pearson
David "Andy" Andrew Pearson, 49, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on July 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with ALS-FTD.
Born in Maryville, Tn., and raised in Madisonville, Andy’s warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched all who knew him. He attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and went on to build a successful career as a CPA and finance director. Most recently, he served as Global Finance Director for Deloitte Global Technology, where he was known not only for his intelligence and leadership but also for his integrity and kindness. Andy had a deep commitment to giving back. He served as chair of the board of directors at Chattanooga Room in the Inn, a nonprofit organization that was especially close to his heart.
A lifelong fan of the New York Yankees, the UT Volunteers, and the San Francisco 49ers, Andy brought the same passion and energy to sports as he did to everything in life. He was an avid runner, a lover of the outdoors, a passionate traveler, and a devoted music enthusiast with an eclectic taste that ranged from rap to classic country. Often found singing or quoting his favorite songs as he went about his day, Andy’s soundtrack was always playing — and it brought joy to everyone around him.
Above all, Andy loved his family and friends. Known for his storytelling, his quick wit, and his generous heart, he had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and loved. His presence lit up every room, and his kindness left a mark that will not fade.
Andy was preceded in death by his father, David Carson Pearson; mother, Cheryl Ann Lewis Crofts; and step-father, Richard Franklin Crofts. Andy is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Marie Lynn Tortolani Pearson; his beloved children, Haydn, Jada, and Elle Pearson; his father- and mother-in-law, Billy and Jeannie Martin; his brother, Tanner Pearson; his brother-in-law, Todd Martin; sisters-in-law, Leslie Martin and Abby (Chad) Moore; nephew, Waylon Pearson; nieces, Kaylee Martin and India Short; as well as many cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins and a host of long-time friends.
Andy’s life was grounded in his Christian faith and his unwavering love for those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his love, laughter, and strength.
