Lee University student Chloe Grabeman has published “Real and True: Hope for the Restless Heart,” a book she co-authored with her mother, author Linda Grabeman.

The book is told from three distinct points of view: experienced heart (Linda Grabeman), expectant heart (Chloe Grabeman), and eternal heart (God), with a different font assigned to each perspective to clarify who is speaking. The book comprises over 150 graphics to complement the prose with visual elements.

Linda Grabeman is a published author of two devotionals, “No Prissy Shoes” and “Praise on Purpose.” According to Chloe Grabeman, through enduring difficult experiences during the spring of 2016 and writing the book the following summer, she soon discovered that “Real and True” is not only a book about hope, but one about hope in the midst of utter restlessness.

“Writing this book was nothing we expected it to be,” said Chloe Grabeman. “Instead it became a product of every source of creativity that has ever touched my mom and me. It was definitely not easy, but it was incredible to see how God shaped it into something that so reflects how He feels about us and our restlessness.”

Chloe Grabeman is a senior public relations major from Pawleys Island, S.C.

“Through this book, God showed how He is always working even when we don't understand,” said Chloe Grabeman. “I hope that people will come to know how loving, relational, and kind God is through ‘Real and True.’”

The book is available for purchase on Amazon.
