Edgar Corcino hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning, leading the Chattanooga Lookouts to a 5-1 win over the Montgomery Biscuits on Sunday. Chattanooga improved to 19-5 against Montgomery this season.
Chattanooga starting pitcher Randy LaBlanc, (5-4, 3.99), had his best performance of the season on Sunday. In 8.0 innings pitched, LeBlanc allowed six hits, one run, one earned run, and struck out seven.
LeBlanc did not allow a walk in 8.0 innings pitched.
The Lookouts captured their 90th win of the 2017 season with the victory over the Montgomery Biscuits. After defeating Montgomery on Sunday night, the Lookouts have now tied their modern day record for the most wins in a single season. The only other team in Lookouts history to record a 90 win season was the 1992 squad.
It took five innings for the Lookouts bats to wake up but they continued to roll against Montgomery. Chattanooga has won 14 of their last 15 games against Montgomery including wins in the last six games.
The home run by Corcino scored Alex Perez and Nick Gordon to give the Lookouts a 3-1 lead.
Corcino has been destroying Biscuits pitching in this series. In all four games, he's recorded multiple hits. His biggest hit in this game was a three-run home run. For the series, Corcino is 9-for-19 with two doubles, a home run, and seven RBI.
LaMonte Wade, Ryan Strausborger, and Perez all had multi-hit games.
The Lookouts later tacked on a run in both the sixth and seventh innings. In the sixth, Perez hit an RBI single, while Corcino scored on a ground out in the seventh.

The Lookouts will host the Biscuits on Monday, September 4th at 2:15 p.m. at AT&T Field in what will be the final game of the regular season.
The Lookouts will look to make history on Monday afternoon as they seek their 91st victory of the season in the regular season finale.
Chattanooga will send RHP, Ryan Eades (3-3, 3.87), to the mound for the regular season finale. Montgomery has chosen RHP, Benton Moss (4-4, 3.58) as their starter for Monday.
Game one of the Southern League North Division Series begins at AT&T Field on Wednesday, September 6 at 7:15 p.m. Game two is set for Thursday, September 7 at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are still available.
