Home On Harrison Pike Damaged By Fire Sunday Afternoon

A home on Harrison Pike was damaged by fire on Sunday afternoon.

At 1:40 p.m. the resident notified the Chattanooga Fire Department that his residence at 2846 Harrison Pike was on fire and he needed assistance.

Light smoke was showing during a primary search and investigation. The fire was knocked down quickly. Very little damage occurred as the residents had evacuated the home and called for help promptly. The fire appeared to be accidental.

Chattanooga Fire Department personnel Engine 4, Quint 10, Quint 6, Quint 7 and Squad 7 were on the scene.

 Battalion Chiefs 2 and 3 and Chattanooga Police were there to command and manage the incident. No one was injured and very little damage occurred. Hamilton County EMS and American Red Cross were also notified, but services were not required on this particular incident.
