Old Photos: Bluff View

Bluff View has often been featured in post card views.

A number of stately homes once ringed the top of the bluff.

Many of those were taken down, but the Ross Faxon home that is now part of the Hunter Museum of Art remained.

Some homes in the vicinity of Spring Street and High Street were saved by the preservation efforts of the Portera family.
