McKay, Joseph Lee

Joseph Lee McKay, 46, of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 9, 2018 at his home. He graduated from Lakeview High School, Class of 1989, and went on to attend UTC. Joe was of the Christian faith. He worked at ACE Hardware for 25 years, where he held various positions, including district manager. He loved photography, building salt water fish tanks, science-fiction and being a handyman. Joe was a Georgia Bulldogs fan and was known for his game-time chili.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas E. McKay; grandparents, Earl J. and Ruth McKay and Roger Lewis and Lucile Tatum; and uncles, Robert L. McKay and Dave L. Brotherton.

Survivors include his children, Morgan L. (Cody) McKay Burtz and Jamarrion Woods; mother, Jeanette T. McKay; brother, Jonathan (Linnie) McKay; and fiancé, Nancy Covington.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South, with Pastor Jason Thomas officiating.
