Retired From The Chattanooga Police Department After 30 Years

Lieutenant William “Bill” L. Roach, 71, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, passed away on July 12, 2018.

He was retired from Chattanooga City Police after 30 years of service and also owned Tri-State Security. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and loved music. He was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Roach; children, Carolyn Roach Sullivan, Billy Roach and Alley Roach; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a special cousin, Loranda.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, from 4-9 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 15, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow immediately after at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are held by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
