Linda Damewood Killed, Another Critical, Third Injured In Shooting At Crossville

One person was killed, another critically injured and a third hurt in a shooting at Crossville on Saturday.

 

Linda Damewood, 74, of Crossville, was dead at the scene.

 

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Tansi Security, and Tennessee Highway Patrol units responded to 8610 Cherokee Trail at approximately 6:38 p.m.

to a reported shooting.  Cumberland County Sheriff’s Investigators and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation remained at the scene conducting an investigation.   

 

Police said Saturday night the scene was secure and there was no danger to the community.

 

Authorities said on Sunday morning, "Three victims have been taken to Cumberland Medical Center by Cumberland County Emergency Medical Services. The conditions of the victims are unknown at this time, however, one victim is confirmed dead, another victim is expected to be transferred to a regional trauma center for treatment. The third victim is being treated at Cunberland Medical Center."
