Hazel Scott, 69, passed away on October 5, 2019, in Chattanooga. 

She was born to the late Ollie Ruth Zackery Scott and George H. Scott in Chattanooga, on Aug. 30, 1950.  She was educated in the Chattanooga Public School System and retired from Pilgrim's Pride.  She enjoyed watching The Young and the Restless, Bold & Beautiful and several others. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Ruth Hampton and George Scott; sister, Willie Bell Burnett; aunts, Annie Mae Harris and Ernestine Pitmon.
 
She is survived by three daughters, Helen Scott, Shirley (Bossie) Hale, Sr. and Connie Johnson; sisters, Linda Moore, Elizabeth S. Wynn, and Pearlie Mae Freeman, all of Chattanooga; brothers, Willie (Diane) Bacon, of Nashville, Tommy Poindexter, of Indiana; grandchildren, Corey Scott, Melinda McElroy, Bossie Hale, Jr., of Chattanooga; eight great-grandchildren; a host nieces, nephews, friends, and a devoted friend Elaine Daniel.
 
Public viewing will begin at 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, at the funeral home, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. in the chapel. 
 
Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
