Longtime Chattanoogan Was A Master Librarian At Princeton

Elizabeth Ellen Conway, 66, of Hixson, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.

She was born in Washington, D.C., and had been a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area.  Elizabeth graduated from St. Jude School and Notre Dame High School.  She received her BA from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and her master’s in Library Science from Memphis University.  She worked at Lenoir Ryan University in North Carolina and was the master librarian at Princeton.  Elizabeth was very active in the AA group in Hixson. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Conway and a sister, Donna Marie Conway.

Elizabeth is survived by her mother, Jean Maupin Conway Doyle; brothers, Stephen Edward Conway, Tom Conway and Randall Eugene Doyle; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Memorial services will follow at 3 p.m. on Saturday, at the North Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alcoholics Anonymous Groups at Hixson Serenity Club, 5695 Middle Valley Road, Hixson, Tn. 37343.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
