Longtime Chattanoogan Was Of The Baptist Faith

Myrna Faye Long, 80,  of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019.

Myrna was born in Coffee County, Tn. and was a long time resident of the Chattanooga area. She was of the Baptist faith.

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Vivian Long; sister, Vinita Ann Long.

She is survived by a sister, Marlene Hughes; niece, Kaye (Jim) Watson and nephew, Ed (Valorie) Hughes, several great nieces, and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Myrna will follow at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the North Chapel with Dr. Fred Steelman officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Myrna’s name to the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee, 1 Siskin Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37403 or www.epilepsy.com/southeast-tennessee.  

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
