Catherine Bostain, 99, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019.  

A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was a member of First Centenary United Methodist Church and was retired from TVA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jackson and Clara Mobley Bostain; two brothers, Joseph Bostain and Edward Bostain; one sister, Virginia Bostain.

Survivors include her nephew, David (Lesley) Bostain; niece, Andrea (Eric) Avans; great-nephews, Jackson, Davis and Eric; goddaughter, Mary Denise Alsobrook Fisk.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Southern Heritage for their excellent care and to Memorial Hospital for their exceptional end of life care.  

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Chattanooga Memorial Park with the Reverend Dr. David Harr officiating.  

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
