Hobert Hickman were arrested early Tuesday morning after a high-speed pursuit.

At approximately 2:37 a.m. a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Boy Scout Road observed a Jeep Wrangler driving recklessly at speeds higher than the posted limit leading the deputy to believe the driver of the vehicle may be impaired.

The deputy attempted to stop the Jeep Wrangler at which time the vehicle accelerated and a pursuit ensued. The deputy pursued the vehicle until it turned onto Tsatanuga Trail where once at the dead-end, the driver drove the vehicle through a yard attempting to get back to Moses Road.

At that point, the vehicle became stuck in a creek. The male driver, Hobert Hickman, exited the vehicle and ran from the deputy on foot. The female passenger, later identified as Taylor Dollmont, also exited the jeep, but was directed by the deputy to stay at the car.

After about a 300-meter pursuit, the deputy was able to apprehend Hickman. After arresting the driver, the passenger was found to have fled the scene but was found in a short amount of time.

Deputies later confirmed Hickman was currently on parole in the state of Kentucky. Hickman was also found to be in possession of marijuana. The passenger, Taylor Dollmont, was released from the scene.

Hickman was arrested and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and was charged with driving under the influence, driving on revoked, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, evading arrest, resisting arrest, failure to maintain lane, and drug – general category for resale.
