Clifford Stone
Clifford Bobby Stone was born August 31, 1947 to Willie "Skinny" and Maggie Dell Stone in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He departed this life on March 16, 2019.
He graduated from Riverside High School in 1965.
Bobby served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He received an Associate Degree in Business, from McKenzie College. He retired from Van Heusen after 32 years of employment. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and a member of the choir.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel and Alberta Stallion and Ola Mae Stone; father, Willie "Skinny" Stone; sister, Linda Stone Herman; aunt, Louise Thornton; uncle, Edward Hughes; mother-in-law, Mildred Hale.
Those remaining to remember his love of Jesus and cherish precious memories are; devoted wife of 35 years Donna Hale Stone; loving daughter, Ashley Stone; mother, Maggie Dell Stone; brother, Fletcher "Bunny" (Wanda) Stone; brother-in-law, Oliver (Deborah) Hale; nieces, LaTasor Greene, Alexis (John) Dawson and Lisa Gregory; nephews, Perry (Sherrie) Herman and Jamaul ( LaShan) Herman; and a host of other relatives.
The body will lie in state beginning at noon on Thursday, March 21, and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, March 22, at New Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Allen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bobby’s memory to New Zion Baptist Church.
