Sandra Bell Rice, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in the Hospice Care Center.  

She was a 1967 graduate of Riverside High School and she then attended Draughons Junior College. She was formerly employed by Neighborhood Christian Center. Sandra was a faithful member of Eastdale Village Community Church.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Florine Bell, Sr.; son, Franklin Delano Rice, Jr.; sisters, Patricia Williams and Idella Davis; brothers, Gillray L. Gates, Sr., Charlie Bell, and Edward Gates.  

Survivors include her sons, Marcus Rice and Eric Rice; daughters, Tonia Rice, Latoyia Rice, and Shanarrow Rice; brothers, Leroy (Sharon) Bell, Leon (Barbara) Bell, Cleveland Bell, Jr., and John Bell; sisters, Mae Lizzie (Calvin) Woods and Vashti McDonald; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.  

Visitation is on Friday, April 12, from 5-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.  

Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m. at Eastdale Village Community Church with Reverend Charlotte Williams as the eulogist. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
