Fire Damages Condemned Home In Red Bank

An outside fire started a house fire in Red Bank Thursday afternoon.

At 3:10 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting heavy smoke and fire at 4007 McCahill Road.

The Red Bank Fire Department responded and arrived on the scene reporting heavy smoke and fire on the back side of the house.

Red Bank FD requested a mutual aid response for additional manpower and district coverage. Chattanooga Fire Department responded to the fire scene. Dallas Bay VFD and Signal Mountain FD stood by at Red Bank fire stations for any additional emergency calls.

Red Bank fire officials reported the cause of the fire was accidental.

Damages were nothing, as the home was condemned and in the process of being demolished.

No injuries were reported, but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene.
