Gwendolyn Alicia Anthony-McReynolds was born on January 24, 1950. She departed this life on Saturday, June 1, 2019.

She was a 1968 graduate of Riverside High School.  She was employed as a dietary supervisor at Erlanger Hospital where she retired after more than 27 years of service. She was a beloved member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where she served several years as a devoted ministry leader over the Choir and the Nutrition Ministry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ida Bell Anthony; brother, Robert Anthony Jr.; granddaughter, LaQuita McReynolds; devoted aunt, Matilda Daniels of Rome, Georgia.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Patrice “Shug” (Ivan Phillips) McReynolds and Iris Davis, both of Chattanooga; son, Eric (Christi) McReynolds of Canton, Ohio; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Elder Carolyn Anthony-Hammonds of Indianapolis, IN, Mary Kathryn Anthony-Brooks and Linda Faye Anthony-Watkins, both of Chattanooga; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; a host of other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be on Friday, June 7, at 11 a.m. with the homegoing services to follow at noon at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Todd Lansden, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
