Joan Wilson
Joan M. Wilson, 90, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019, at a local health care facility.
She was born on August 24, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Ok. to the late T. A. and Beulah Melton and was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Wilson, sister, Joyce Fender and brother, James Melton.
She retired as an executive secretary from McKee Foods.
Joan was a member of Standifer Gap Seventh-day Adventist Church and was very active in the homeless and card ministries. She loved her family tremendously.
Survivors include her three children, Lee Anne (Daryl) Costerisan, of Apison, Tn., Kimberley Wente, Doug (Missy) Wilson, both of Ooltewah, Tn., 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister, Linda (Larry) Mooney, of Maitland, Fl., and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor David Sitler officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, at the funeral home.
