CHI Memorial Medical Group announces Sumit Patel, M.D., and Jesse Tucker, M.D., MPH, are joining Buz Standefer Lung Center.  
 
Dr. Patel received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica.  He completed his residency in internal medicine at State University of New York (SUNY) in Buffalo, NY, where he also completed fellowships in pulmonary/critical care and sleep medicine. Dr. Patel is board certified by the American Board of Internal medicine in internal medicine and pulmonary disease.
 
Dr. Tucker received his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine.  He completed his residency in internal medicine at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, where he also completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine.  Dr.
Tucker is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In addition, he holds a master’s degree in public health in epidemiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health.
 
Drs. Patel and Tucker join Tim Ashburn, M.D.; Carlos Baleeiro, M.D.; Krish Bhadra, M.D.; Geraldo Holguin, M.D.; Asad Javed, M.D.; Catherine Martinez, M.D.; Chad Paxson, M.D.; Hisham Qutob, M.D.; Pamela Sud, M.D.; Kristen Wright-Miranda, AG-ACNP-BC; and Bjorn Spoon, PA-C, at Buz Standefer Lung Center.  The practice has three locations:
