William “Alex” Howard, 79, of Rossville, passed away on Monday, Sept. 9, 2019.  

Alex was born on Oct. 23, 1939, in Chattanooga, to the late William and Margaret Brooks Howard.  

He was preceded in death by his brother, Wesley Howard. Alex was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was an active member of Newnan Springs United Methodist Church for over 40 years and retired from Power Brake & Supply after 30 years of service.  

Survivors are his loving wife of 44 years, Alice Howard, daughter, Beth (Chris Rush) Boesing, Fort Oglethorpe; son, William (Marie) Howard, Fort Oglethorpe; sister, Phyllis Carver, East Brainerd; and grandchildren, Bella, Ben, Holden, Emma, and Grayson.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Alex will take place on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m., in the funeral  home chapel with Reverend Jim Elder and Reverend Mike Lowery officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
