Cleveland City Schools' Activities For The Week Of Jan. 13

Cleveland High School Theater hosts the 6th Annual Performance Showcase on Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. Inside the showcase, CHS will present an evening of monologues, short scenes, Broadway Songs, Voices and the State Bound One-Act. Both shows held at Cleveland High School's Betsy Vines Memorial Theater.  Admission to the show is $5. Ross Elementary and Yates Primary host the Creative Discovery Museum STEAM Night on Tuesday, 6-7:30 p.m. at Yates Primary. Families will explore nine stations themed around science, technology, engineering, art and math skills. Chattanooga firefighters battled a fire on Fairview Avenue on Saturday night. It happened at 8:43 p.m. at the United Steelworkers Local 15120 building at 1109 Fairview Ave. The union hall is on the bottom floor and several apartments are located upstairs. Fire destroyed a family’s home in the Harrison Bay area on Saturday afternoon. At 12:45 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting a fire on the deck and spreading fast throughout the house.
