Rosita Pearl Willis, 49, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 in a local hospital. She was a 1989 graduate of Highland Springs High School. She earned her master’s degree from Strayer University. Rosita was employed with Brookdale Senior Living, Incorporated as an operations specialist.
Survivors include her daughter, Shayla Tiombae Willis; two grandchildren, Parker Jerome Williams and Rylen Jaynes Williams, all of Chattanooga; brothers, Robert (Sylvia) Day, of Columbia, SC, William Willis, of Washington, DC, Vanderrick (Mildred) Willis and Michael Willis, both of Richmond, Va. and Kevin Willis, of Atlanta; sisters, Deborah Frye, of Richard, Va., Lydia Ballard (Jimmy) Williams, of New Port News, Va., Rita Steen, of Columbia, SC, Cassandra Willis, of Dallas, Tx., Bernadette (Luther) Tyus, Jr. and Tonia Peebles, both of St. Louis, Mo.; an incredible amount of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Alisha Thorpe-Hall and Roger Thiele, vice president of administration of Brookdale Senior Living Communities.
She will lie-in-state on Friday at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel, with Elder Deborah Frye as the eulogist.
