Angela Denise Westmoreland Lanier, 57, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at her residence surrounded by family. 

She was a member of Solid Anchor Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Black; grandmother, Estalla Richardson; brother, Gary Black; and mother-in-law, Ida Lanier. 

Survivors include her husband, Jerome Lanier; son, Kelvin (Keri Higgins) Taylor, Jr.; father, James Westmoreland, Sr.; grandmother, Annie Ruth Sanders, brother, James (Angelia) Westmoreland, Jr., all of Chattanooga; sisters, Brenda Smith, Saundra Westmoreland, both of Chattanooga Diana Stevens of Birmingham, AL; special aunt, Lelia Bell Woodley of Chattanooga; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. 

Angela will lie in state on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

A family service will be on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor James Westmoreland, Sr. as the eulogist.  Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
