Cameroun Haslerig Scruggs, 48, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020, in a local hospital.  

He was a 1991 graduate of Brainerd High School and a graduate of Knoxville College.  He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. 

Cameroun was preceded in death by his father, Booker T. Scruggs II; grandparents, Booker T. Scruggs, Sr., Mabel Scruggs, Mrs. Cecial H. Haslerig, and Mr. James H. Haslerig. 

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Scruggs; son, Marquise Scruggs of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Emilea Pugh of Chattanooga; mother, Johnnie Lynn Scruggs of Chattanooga; other relatives and friends. 

Cameroun will lie in state on Friday, Oct. 30, from 1-5 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

The family service will be on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. in the chapel. 

Entombment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
