Avid NASCAR Fan Was A Republican, Christian, And Loved The Atlanta Braves

Robert Max Cofer, of Harrison, joined the Lord on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Chattanooga Hospice.  He was 84.

 

Mr. Cofer was a Christian and man of faith.  He was an avid NASCAR fan, Republican, and cheered on the Braves. 

 

He was preceded in death by his wife,  Sandra Gail Robinson Cofer and sister, Mary Anne Hampton, and parents Clay and Anna Ruth Cofer.

 

Survivors include two sons, Robin D. Cofer and wife Kathryn of Huntsville, Al., and Roger D. Cofer and Rhonda of Chattanooga; sisters, Tommy Boltz and Jerry Carter, both of Ringgold; four grandchildren, Grant M. Cofer, Kevin D. Cofer, SPC Jake T. Cofer, and Isabella Cofer; and one great- granddaughter, Berkley Cofer.

 

The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, East. 

 

Burial will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 4–6 p.m. and October 29, from 9–11:30 a.m.
