Jonathan Ashly Adcock, age 49, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at his home. 

Jon was born March 23, 1971 in Dalton, Ga.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hazel and Leon Kiker and Helen and Lamar Adcock.

Jon graduated from Dalton High School in 1989.  He played Guard for the Catamounts football team, a team regarded by most as one of the finest Dalton ever fielded.  He attended Georgia Southern University and worked with his family at Adcock Financial Group.  Jon loved music and cherished his Les Paul guitar that he bought as a teenager.  He was a loyal fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and never missed watching a game.  

He is survived by his daughter, Caroline Hannah Adcock, of Ooltewah, TN; parents, Don and Diane Adcock of Dalton, GA; brother and sister-in-law Blake and Jill Adcock of Dalton, GA; sister and brother-in-law Allyson and Ryan Chappelle of Dalton, GA; nieces and nephews Emily Adcock, Sarah Adcock, Charles Chappelle, and Thomas Chappelle; many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Adcock and Kiker families, as well as, his loyal dog “Bella” and his cat “Stimpson J. Cat.”  Jon had many lifelong friends who stayed in touch and supported him.

The family will hold a private ceremony at Dalton First United Methodist Church with Pastor Brian Clark officiating.
