East Hamilton Falls To Greeneville, 3-1, In State Class AA Soccer Championship

Greeneville scored midway through the second half to break open a 1-1 tie before eventually downing East Hamilton, 3-1, in the Class AA State Soccer Championship in a match played Monday afternoon at the Siegel Soccer Complex in Murfreesboro.

The Lady Hurricanes had taken an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Rylee Phillips in the 13th minute. Phillips was assisted by Tenley Yates. 24 minutes later Greeneville tied it up on an Anna Shaw shot from the box.

Although goal keeper gave up three goals, the Lady Cane stalwart had 15 saves against an onslaught by Greeneville. The victors took a total of 42 shots on goal.

East Hamilton ends their season with a record of 16-4, while Greeneville was 18-5.
