Robert Edward “King Tut” Gallaher, 66, of Harriman, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at his daughter’s residence.  

He attended Harriman High School and Mark’s Chapel Holiness Church.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. 

Robert was preceded in death by his father, James Gallaher and mother, Thelma Lena Mae Gallaher Beard. 

Survivors include his daughters, Rosalyn Gallaher of Chattanooga and Alea Johnson of Middletown, CT; sons, Robert L. Gallaher, Marty Goins, Julian Goins, all of Harriman, TN, Roderick Johnson of Middletown, CT; seven grandchildren; brothers, Jack (Janet) Hopper, Reverend Roy (Tina) Boyd, James (Karin) Gallaher, and Richard (Gail) Gallaher; sisters, Patricia Bertram, Dorla Arnwine, Connie (Johnny) Cleveland, and Johnita Beard; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. 

He will lie in state on Monday, Dec. 28, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

A family service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Willie James Gallaher as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
