The Cherokee Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America will host the 16th Annual Friends of Scouting Luncheon on March 4 starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center. The annual luncheon acts as the Council’s largest annual fundraiser.
The Cherokee Area Council will welcome Coach Bobby Bowden as its keynote speaker. Coach Bowden guided Florida State University to more than 300 victories, two national championships, and 12 Atlantic Coast Conference titles; his teams finished in the top five in the country in 14 straight seasons. He led the Seminoles to Bowl Games in 28 consecutive seasons during his 34-year tenure.
“We are excited to welcome Coach Bowden, as his story shows the dedication and leadership taught by the Boy Scout’s program,” said Scout Executive Scott Fosse.
Each year, 700+ Chattanooga area business and community leaders attend the Friends of Scouting luncheon to support local Scouting programs and camps.
A limited number of tables are still available for this event ($1,500 for a table of eight). More information about the luncheon can be found at https://cherokeeareabsa.doubleknot.com/event/friends-of-scouting-luncheon/2548707. Donations are accepted through the Cherokee Area Council website.
