Bennie Ruth Smith, 82, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

 

Bennie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many. She was a faithful member of New Liberty Baptist Church and was compassionate about caring for others.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Gracie Evans; son, Kenny D. Smith; and seven siblings.

 

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Glenn Smith; children, Galen (Pam) Smith, Debbie (Rick) Gray, Randy (Cindy) Smith, Jeff (Kim) Smith; daughter-in-law, Debbie Smith; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

 

At the family’s request because of the current health concerns, the family will have a private funeral ceremony at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 20, in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Lakewood South.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to New Liberty Baptist Church “Kingdom fund” at 923 Graysville Road, Ringgold, Ga. 30736.
