SouthWord Literary Festival Postponed Til Oct. 30-31

  • Tuesday, March 31, 2020

Out of concern for public health and safety, and due to the CDC’s new recommendations regarding public gatherings, Southern Lit Alliance has postponed SouthWord Literary Festival.

The event was originally scheduled for April 3-4, but is now rescheduled for Oct. 30-31. SouthWord will still take place at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s University Center, and the Keynote Dinner will still take place at the Westin Chattanooga. The keynote speaker will be announced soon.

Anyone who already purchased a ticket for SouthWord can opt to save their ticket reservation for the festival’s new date in October. Alternately, ticket purchasers who do not plan to attend in the Fall can consider their purchase a donation to Southern Lit Alliance to help absorb some of the costs it has lost due to these unexpected changes. Officials said they would greatly appreciate anyone’s contribution. Anyone who does want a refund on their ticket will be given one.
