Jerry Wayne Brown, 70, of Rossville, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020, in his home.

Jerry was born in Trenton, Ga., but lived for many years in Cleveland and Akron, Oh. He was of the Baptist faith and was a proud U.S. Navy veteran having served on the USS Semmes. He was a “jack-of-all-trades” who enjoyed: photography, Civil War history, vertical caving, metal detecting, and wood working. He could work on and fix just about anything.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, R.L. and Olvalene Brown; and son, Robert Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne Brown; son, Aaron Brown; daughters, Chrissy (Rusty) Parkhill and Melissa (Travis) Owensby; grandchildren: Lulu and Jonathan Parkhill, Laurel (Chandler) Freed; and Valerie (Robert) Baker; several great grandchildren; siblings: Jack (John) Brown and Doug (Rebecca) Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, at 9:30 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel. Webcasting is available on Lane’s website. A private family interment will be held in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
