Longtime Music Teacher In The Hamilton County School System

Sandra Baker was reunited with her beloved parents and grandparents on Saturday, June 27, 2020.

A graduate of the University of Chattanooga in 1966, with a B.A. in music, Sandra taught music to thousands of children over her 30-year career in Hamilton County.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, L.M. Baker and Jessie Baker, maternal grandparents, George Chambers and Reba Posey Chambers Cruse, parents, Jack C. Baker Sr. and Roberta Baker.

She is survived by brothers, Jack C. (Stephanie) Baker Jr. and Robin (Sally) Baker, niece, Tara (Chip) Phillips, grand-niece and nephew, Claudia and Quade, of Chattanooga, nephew, Dusty (Whitney) Baker, grand-nephew and Niece, Rocco and Esme, of Portland, OR, nephew, Brent (Saara) Baker Denver, CO.

A private family service will be held at Chattanooga Memorial Park. Friends may pay respects at the graveside after July 2.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chattanooga Heart Association in her name.
