Betty Collins, 87, passed away on June 29, 2020.

Betty loved the Lord and was a member of Lakeway Baptist Church in Harrison.  She courageously battled Alzheimer’s for the last 5 years and remained focused on serving the Lord, even when her memory was failing.  Betty always remembered to say blessings and never forgot her favorite songs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Ina Parker; four brothers, and one sister.

Betty is survived by her husband of 63 years, Weldon; sister-in-law, Mrs. Polly Parker, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 2, from 10 a.m.-noon at Turner Funeral Home at Highway 58.  A funeral service will follow at noon in the Turner Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Ronnie Dotson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a church or charity of their choice.

Betty will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Turner Funeral Home, Highway 58 Chapel, 423 622-3171.
