Michael Thomas
Michael Demetrius Thomas of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the age of 42.
Born on Oct. 28,1977, Michael attended City High School and also attended Chattanooga State Technical Community College for barber school. He was a current employee of Falcon Tree Specialists.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael D. Thomas; grandparents, Veronica Heard, Aurthur Jennings Jr, Annie Rose Thomas and Willie James Steele.
He leaves in memory his daughter, Miracle Thomas; mother, Gaynell Jennings Acklin; sister, Chandra (Ronnie) Acklin; fiancée, Mary Vasquez; stepmother, Avina Thomas; two stepsisters, Megan Wells and Toni McMulle; nieces, Dominique Acklin, Amber Freeman, and Paige (Michael) Moore; nephew, Courtland Freeeman; six great nephews, Chaz, Deonte Jr., Micha, Malachi, Michael Jr and Matthew; one great niece, Jamia; future son-in-law, Austin Willis; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, at the funeral home. A private funeral service will be held. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
