Charles Lillard
Charles (Chuck) Raymond Lillard, Jr., 75, of Decatur, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020, at North Knoxville Medical Center.
A native of Decatur, Chuck was the son of the late Charles (Shorty) Raymond Lillard and Elizabeth Odell Lillard. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John (Johnny) Thomas, David Floyd and Roy (Ed) Edward. And one sister, Deborah June Smith.
Chuck was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Decatur where he served as a Deacon.
Well known as the “Tire Guy,” Chuck was employed with C & D Tire in Athens, TN. He had a fierce love for his family and was loved by all who knew him.
Survivors include his two daughters, Heather Goodson and husband Kevin; Amanda Bucco and husband Adam; three granddaughters, Addison Phillips and husband Cody. Annslee Nichols and husband Brandon, Autumn Bucco, and one grandson, Eli Goodson. Also left to cherish his memory is his love and companion for many years, Faye Hawkins; special cousin Cecil Lillard, a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished employees.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m. at the Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 14108 N Nopone Valley Road, Decatur, Tn. 37322, with Pastor Toby Brogden officiating.
Adam Bucco, Kevin Goodson, Bryan Peaden, Jackie Melton, Jimmy Hawkins and Donny Smith will serve as pallbearers for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Lillard to Meigs County Sheriff’s Department, Toy Drive, P. O. Box 39 Decatur, TN 37322 and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
