he University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team closed out the Central Arkansas Fall Invite with a 6-0 mark in doubles action today. The Mocs finished the first tournament of the season with a 6-3 record in doubles and 12-7 mark in singles.
Freshman Jessie Young and junior Bogdana Zaporozhets teamed up a No. 1 to post wins over Louisiana-Monroe and Missouri State. Junior Emma Van Hee and sophomore Caroline Gibbens only dropped four games in their two wins at No.
2, while freshmen Grace Anne Dunavant and Callie Billman won twice at No. 3.
The Mocs were 1-4 on the day in singles action, all against the host Bears. All five matches went to three sets, with Van Hee taking the lone win at No. 2.
Up next on the fall schedule is a trip to Mercer for tournament action on Oct. 2-4.
