William “Bill” Higdon, KF4TVF, age 66, of Cleveland passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020.

Bill attended Allen School prior to enlisting in the Army and serving in the 101st Airborne Division. He was stationed in Fort Campbell, Ky. and in Germany. He excelled at several trades, but his passion was to travel. He was able to do so by becoming a truck driver. He was very proud of his truck, and all the people he met along the way. He had several hobbies including amateur radio, studying World War II, guns, classic cars, and being a devout Trump supporter.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Higdon, and grandmother, Mabel Higdon.

He is survived by his daughters, Tabitha Goins and husband, Jeremy, and Kelly Haines, both of Cleveland; and granddaughters, Mallory Goins, Molly Goins, and Karlly Haines, all of Cleveland.

He requested his body be donated to science, and was received by Restore Life USA.

The family would like to thank the hospital and EMS staff for their efforts.

The memorial service honoring his life will be on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 5:30 p.m. at Lakeview Community Church, and all are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association.

We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Higdon family guestbook at www.ralphbuckner.com.

Ralph Buckner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
