McKinley “Kent” Sanders, 83, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
He was born in Roanoke, Al., on May 18, 1937.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sanders and Opal Jackson Sanders; sister, Dorothy Taylor; sons, Kenneth Sanders and James Edward Sanders; niece Mozell Dandy; nephew; Melvin Dandy.
He was self-employed at his business, The Shop, where he worked on cars. He also worked for Midas Muffler for many years. His hobby was working on cars.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Eunice McIntyre Sanders; daughter, Darlene Sanders; son, Walter Sanders; sister Morlene Daniels; stepchildren, Marva Boyd, Darlene Hammonds,
Roland (Carol) McIntyre, II, Eric (LaShawnda) McIntyre, Terrance (Stephanie) McIntyre; nieces, Wanda, Brenda, Niecey, Antanetta, Arlene; nephew, Otis (Chris) Dandy; great nieces and nephews; many other family members and friends.
He was a proud grandfather and great grandfather.

Public viewing will be held from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, at the funeral home. A private funeral service will be held. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
