Loved Her Vegetable And Flower Garden, Canning, And Quilting

Willodean Cheatwood Langford, 94, longtime resident of Rossville, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Rock Spring, Ga. 

 

Mrs. Langford was a native of Dekalb County, Al., lived most of her life in Rossville, and was of the Baptist faith.  Mrs. Langford was a strong lady who loved to help others and was a faithful friend and neighbor.  She loved to work in her vegetable garden and flower garden, she enjoyed canning, and she loved to quilt.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, A.J. Langford; granddaughter, Ronda Langford Johnson; and several brothers and sisters.

 

Survivors include her children, Jerry (Phyllis) Langford, Joyce Sisson, and Peggy (Mike) Wallace; sister, Lindel (Ron) Perkins; thirteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; thirty great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m. at Lakewood South Memory Gardens.

 

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, Ga.
